Targets & current status

► Target-1) 3000 certified students from North & East
• Achieved 3322 certified students/faculties. We’re sure we’ll cross 3.5 K in Dec
► Target-2) 5 advance and 35 CoEs from North & East
• Already opened 28 CoEs across 9 states. 8-10 CoE inaugurations are lined up in Dec.
► Target-3) 9000 students from 300 trainings in N&E
• Till date, 11553 students/faculties are trained and 3407 students/faculties are IBM certified professionals.
• To achieve this number we conducted 145 trainings at 80 colleges from 12 states.
• Brand wise 2885 (85%) students on DB2, 417 (12%) on Rational and 105 (3%) on Tivoli are certified.
► Target-4) 15 T3 trainings to certify 350 trainers/faculties
• Trained 40+ trainers on DB2 and 20+ on RAD from partners in 5 F2F workshops.
• 8 Faculty development workshops were conducted by me personally and 2 by partners.
• Till date we have trained 415 trainers/faculties and 145 passed certification exam.
• Atleast 3 FDPs are planned in Dec which will add some number to it.

COE Performance analysis

• 28 CoEs in 9 states till date – 4 are

government colleges, 6 Universities
• 62 workshops at 23 CoEs – 1972
certified students/faculties, 70.4 certifieds
per CoE
• At 16 CoEs some IBM tools/technologies
are being taught in course-curriculum
• At 7 CoEs we have done dW sessions

Suggestions for the betterment

► TGMC projects and certification strategy has to be merged and should be
certified by AI team. This will ensure theoretical and practical knowledge of
student.
► Maximize the F2F interaction between IBMer and college/faculty/students
specially when the college is new in our list
► Before we conduct any certification workshop in new college we should first
conduct a one-day workshop to know their interest, awareness and
preparedness for certification workshop. This will help them in TGMC project and
creating awareness among students about AI & IBM certifications. Here our
online one-day material can also be used.
► Some special activities with CoEs so that they can see some difference in
comparison to ordinary college. Certification workshops only should be done in
CoEs.
► Metrics/reporting/MIS should be online, structured and complete. People on
ground must get some value-add by filling this data.
► Strategy to keep students/faculties/CoEs/Trainers motivated and happy working
with us.
