Doesnt matter price of COE number of cars that can be added to

the roads still remain the same. Doesnt matter whether the rich or
poor are able to afford the cars or not.

Public transport people deem to be not as accessible or convenient.

Should try to enhance PT add or trains and lines get to work
place at a more swift manner

Train more properly maintained increased reliability

But as of now, PT is still not a viable substitute of private transport

(eg cars)

PROBLEMS FACED: takes a really long time before the things

planned can be fully materialized

Solutions: build more roads, eg tunnels increase n.o of road,

reduce congestion
MARINA COASTAL EXPRESSWAY (MCE) spent 4.3 Billion about a
thousand times more than building normal roads very expensive
Easy to say, but difficult to do
Nicole highway collapsed. So if we dig underground then what
about the safety issue?
Not a very good idea, too costly, just for normal sg
HK. Have tons of flyovers, why isnt SG doing that? Expensive &
visually unattractive (SG portray itself as a garden city would want
ugly flyovers)
Roads leading to town are the ones that are congested.
Increase parking charges in office buildings parking
complementary good in driving.
But most car parks are not owned by govt owned by private
companies
