In an Agile Project Management framework, during the adapt phase, the team reviews the

results of execution from the exploration phase. If the outcome is not satisfactory, then remedial
measures are taken after a review to determine the cause and effect of the dissatisfactory
outcome, and the project cycle is repeated in a loop starting from the speculate phase. This
review takes into account the current situation, performance of the team against the plan and
how they stand against the expected requirements. The remedial measure taken in the adapt
phase can include, but not limited to, taking a new approach to project, altering the process,
modifying the environment, changing the projects objectives and so on as per the requirements
set by the customers. Taking into regard the feedback provided and adapting to the situation
based on this feedback is the major work of this particular phase.
Under Adapt Phase, we take into consideration, four main factors, namely:
* Product functionality (primarily customer teams perspective)
* Product quality (primarily from technical teams perspective) If the product backlog falls below standard, then the project team of software company
will head back to speculate phase in order to improve it. The team will again look into the ten
product backlog items to see if the refining is done as per the new set standards. and the
prioritization is done accordingly or needs to be looked into again.
If it's at standard then project teams need to determine if there are any other factors that
determine to improve it.
If it's at above standard level, then the product backlog is good and adapting to changes
effectively
* Team performance
In the culmination week of the project, the performance of the project team is evaluated
and the iteration with respect to the project culmination week based on three factors: Low,
Probable and High.
* Project status
Considering all the above points, the project status is seen and if it is at the expected
standard level or above, and the team performance is good, then the project is delivered to the
customer and the status is okayed. Else the project is rerouted to the speculation stage.
