    INFORMATION OF DAIRY

    With a view to building up the Dairy Industry as to provide an additional remunerative occupation to the farmers
    in Karjat, Khalapurk, Pen, Panvel, Uran, Pali , Alibag Talukas of Raigad District, Govt. Milk Scheme was
    originally started at Karjat in 1959. Govt. has Sanctioned Govt. Milk Scheme, Khopoli under G.R. No. DDS1085/6158 (II)Q, dated 06.09.1965 and started from 16.02.1966. Now Govt. Milk Scheme, Khalapur is renamed
    as Govt. Milk Scheme, Khopoli. Old temple of Ganapati, Varadvinayak and Ballaleshawar are near the Khopoli
    Dairy. Machinery established in Govt. Milk Scheme are as follows:

    1. Processing Plant- 20000 Lites capacity per day


    2. Fill pack machine - 2 Nos. (500 bags per Hr.)
    3. Cold storage- 10000 Liters capacity
    4. Hot water generator -2 Nos. (130 kv
