Natalyas Reflection
Exploring Hyde Park was a great
experience because it reminded me of all the
wonderful attractions that Chicago has to offer.
When I was little, I loved going to the city,
especially the museums. Visiting the Museum
of Science and Industry in Hyde Park inspired
me to set aside time and visit other museums in
Chicago.
This was an authentic Chicago experience
because Hyde Park is an architecturally rich,
diverse, and family orientated neighborhood
with many well known landmarks.

Matts Reflection
This trip to Hyde Park taught me first and foremost that there is a lot more to the
city of Chicago than you can see from such places as the Loop and the Gold
Coast. This definitely made me realize just how big the city was, especially since it
took me over an hour and a half to get there by train and bus. I believe that this is
an authentic Chicago experience because there are many family friendly famous
attractions that someone can do there. First there's the Museum of Science and
Industry which is the biggest science museum in the Western Hemisphere. Also
there are many parks and places that families can go together.

Charles Reflection
Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed Hyde Park, especially as a newcomer to Chicago.
Exploring the area outside Loyola was a great experience after hearing lots of
good things about Chicago prior to coming here. Hyde Park is a friendly
neighborhood with neat attractions that give it a unique identity. Its clear to me
that Chicago is full of neighborhoods like these, just from the sheer size of the city.
Chicago is huge and Hyde Park is just one neighborhood, but I look forward to
visiting other parts of the city while Im here at Loyola.

Natalias Reflection
This experience has allowed me to get to know my
group members a little bit more while exploring a part
of Chicago I have never been to before. After this
experience, I have realized that even though I grew up
in Chicago there are a lot of parts of Chicago that I have
never seen before. This experience has allowed me to
see how much Chicago has to offer. I believe this was an
authentic experience because it was fun exploring the Second City
and learning a little more about Chicago.
