For 15 years Now

To build or not to build; the Keystone XL oil pipeline has had its ups and downs. The decision changes on
a daily bases, through the political parties and the citizens of the United States and Canada. Ultimately,
the decision lies on a few major players on the political spectrum.
These major players are : The White House, Congress, Courts, TansCanada, and State Department.
According to environmental scientists, the XL pipeline has the potential to cause a devastating amount
of damage to the environment on a global scale. Although this information is known, the article has its
main focus on the key players into having the pipeline approved. A criticism that I would have to point
out from the article is that the citizens of the two countries are the major player in the entire debate as
we are both in a democracy; for the people by the people. Regardless of what the corporate world
wants, it should ultimately fall to the decision on the public based on a nationwide vote.
