Central Subway 4th & King Track Installation Community Meeting

Third Street Light Rail Program Phase 2-Central Subway

Contract Number 1F300 (Stations, Tracks and System)
The Central Subway team is moving towards the next aspect of the project,
Phase 2 of track work at 4th and King streets. This work creates the connection
point for the T-Third Line and the under-construction Central Subway. The
construction is scheduled to begin at 10p.m. Friday, November 6th and finish the
evening of Saturday, November 14.
We are hosting a Community Meeting to provide details on the project and its
impact on traffic, Muni transportation and pedestrian traffic. Our intent is to
inform the public about this work and answer any questions that may arise.

DATE: Wednesday, November 4
TIME: 5:30p.m. 7:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Bayview Library 5075 Third Street
We hope to reach out to many local residents at this meeting. This construction
is an important milestone in the building of the Central Subway. When revenue
operations begin in 2019, the time to travel from Third Avenue to Chinatown
will greatly reduced. Residents will also have much easier access to other Muni
lines and BART when the Central Subway opens.
