Description of how to implement in the class: The teacher will introduce the activity and
explain that today we will be talking about our pets. Each student will be asked what kind of
pet they have: cat, dog, bird, bunny, fish or none. After they give their answer the teacher will
take down what kind each student has and make it into a chart on Graph Club. They will then
look through the different simpler graphs such as bar, circle, and picture. After they have gone
over all the different categories and how much are in each they will be asked to look at the
graph and tell how much is in each category and which has more and which has less.
To have a better understanding the teacher will then ask the students to pick one of the
graphs they looked at and draw it with accurate numbers in their math journals then in small
groups they will put them in order from least to greatest. This will give the students an
understanding and knowledge of if they have more cats, dogs, etc.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): Exploration- level 2
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *:

Other comments about your proposed spreadsheet/graph/chart activity: Graph club is easy to
use and the students will enjoy the interactives of the activity. Most kindergarteners love
animals so this is a great topic to work with.
