John Charles Galliano, CBE, RDI. Born in 1960. A British fashion designer, brought up by a Gibraltarian Father and Spanish Mother, alongside 2 sisters. Galliano began his studies at St. Anthonys School and then on to Wilsons Grammar School in London. After this he moved continued to Saint Martins Grammar School of Art and graduated in 1988 with a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Design

Upon Graduating, Galliano was straight into the business, working on his own label since 1988 to the present day. His first show/ collection was inspired by the French Revolution, entitled, Les Incroyables. As well as his own collections and label, Galliano has worked with various other industries and designers, such as: Givenchy (July 1995-October 1996) Dior (October 1996-March 2011) At present he is the Creative Director of Paris based fashion house, Maison Margiela.
