Recruitment
We agreed recruitment would include the methods initially proposed and
in addition:

Participant Recruitment
From student to participant recruitment this is because from the
knowledge careers centre there is a staff member who is in charge of the
recently recruited graduate scheme trainees and he is willing to allow
them to participate.
25 student from career + 5 new graduates starting 4th November 2015 +
5 computing student. We were looking to recruit more than 30 as some
fall out might occur.
The 5 graduates would not need to be paid so there is no strain on the
budget.
Application and selection will be on a first come first serve basis and a
reserve list of 10 (min) will be kept for any falls experienced.
1. EH to contact course reps for each department
2. EH will send promotional material e.g. facebook and twitter messages
to ST for use on Careers Centre social media channels.
3. EH to visit a lecture slot for 3rd year students in: Law, Business, Media
and Sport.
Business- you are welcome to join me for the session on 5th Nov at
1.00 pm in B001, but this will be too late for your current
recruitment and participant briefing timescale, so you need to
contact Lecturer Charles Knight to see if you can visit on Thurs 29th
October instead.
We dont have any planned sessions with the other subjects within the
timescale so heres who you need to contact:

MEETING WITH SUE TAYLOR

10:30 am to 11:30
Sports - Lecturer Shushu Chen. She has final year students on Weds
21st October at 9.00 or 9.30.
Media - Departmental Administrator Julie Climpson, will be able to
tell you which is the biggest third year module, when and where it
runs and the lecturer youll need to email to sort it out.
Law Departmental Administrator, Linda Williams as above.
Booking with the Careers will be done via Career Hub and booked ahead
of time.

MEETING WITH SUE TAYLOR

10:30 am to 11:30
Above is the suggested times for the Careers centre to be able to work
with the students and time scale in which it would work.
In some way this way might be better, where there is a cycle in a month, I
believe this will give the students and careers centre a less chocked
timetable. This timing I believe works with the careers timetable and
would be beneficial this way.
There were other topics discussed like the budget that should be proposed
to George including the students and the extra careers advisor needed to
run this pilot.
Firstly Georges approval on the budget the students and career advisor is
what might set the ball rolling.
To keep motivation to complete, Sue suggested paying the students
another 10. I dont know what you think about it if there is an alternative.
