INTRODUCTION Book one of the DRUM READER series dealt with the very basic breakdown of whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and eighth notes, in various time signatures.’ In Book two you will be introduced to the EIGHTH NOTE TRIPLET in 4/4,3/4,2/4,5/4,6,4 and 7/4 time signs, plus the breakdown of the eighth note beat in 3/8,5/8,6/8,7/8,9/8 and 12/8 signatures. As a beginner reading student, there will be a great many questions that you will want answered, However, in the early stages of reading, these questions will take time until they "SINK" into your thoughts. My suggestion, At this point, {s to keep practicing and allow these questions to be held off for awhile, In due time ther will answer themselves, and you will really understand them better. A good method, for developing your reading ability, 1s to always review back to Book one in the DRUM READER series, then PRACTICE BOOK TWO. Each and every day, you shovld review Book one, then practice Book two, ‘The more you review back, tie clearer your understanding of the reading ideas will become, It is hoped that you gain from the materials in these books.
