Dr. Ms. Bishop,

I am writing in response to our discussion last spring on the position of research staff

nurse. I recently spoke with Dr. Mathew Chung regarding an open position within the

Spectrum Health research department. Dr. Chung believes that my skills would be an

excellent fit for this position. I have had the opportunity to work with him as well as the

other surgical oncologists over the last 13 years.

My extensive experience in surgical services and ability to readily connect with

patients and their families will be an asset to this position. I have a strong interest in

research and pathophysiology which will be of value in taking on this position. I am excited

by the areas Spectrum Health's research department has explored in the last five to ten

years and embrace the chance to become involved.
