On computers

Most areas of our campus are wi-fi enabled. Here are the guidelines
for wireless access for personal laptops.
1. Connect to IMSc-WiFi from the available wireless networks.
2. Open the browser and try to connect to some site. This will
re-direct you to a login page. If you already have an account
here, you can login and continue.
3. If you do not have an account, go to the Create a free link for
registration. After filling the form, there will be a validation email sent to the address you have given. You have to validate
this within 20 minutes of registration. After user validation,
the account is valid for 3 days. A validation url will be sent
to the collaborator() mentioned in the form and need to be
confired by the collaborator within three days - after which
your account is valid for the period you have specified on the
form you filled.
For people without a personal laptop, we are planning to have 4 or
5 machines in the 2nd floor lounge (of the office building). We will
let you know more about passwords, etc., for logging on to them.
