MARIE CURIE

Marie Curie and Pierre Curie studied the


radioactive leaves, especially the uranium in
the shape of pechblenda, that had the curious
property of being more radioactive than the
uranium than it was extracting from her. The
logical explanation was to suppose that the
pechblenda was containing chunks of some
element much more radioactive than the
uranium.

It was a physics, mathematics and Polish, nationalized French chemistry.
The first person in receiving two Nobel Prizes in different specialities,
Physics and Chemistry, and the first woman in being a teacher in the
University of Paris.
