Pizza Panic

By Jay White
Pizza Panic Story
Set in the 21st century, Pizza Panic is an animation based on both Bandi Namco
and Dominos Pizza. The story opens with a Dominos Pizza worker appearing on
screen and gazing at what he has been searching for the Holy Pizza. The
camera fades to dark then fades in to a close up of the Holy Pizza on its pedestal
then the camera fades to black. As the Dominos Pizza worker jumps down he
triggers a trap and quotes WHATS THATS? .We then open to the Holy Pizza
rolling of its pedestal and landing on the floor and chasing the Dominos Pizza
worker out into the countryside where there is a cheese path that he runs along
with cheese chunks missing out of it as this is Swiss Cheese, the clouds are
pixelated pepperoni slices layered over one another, the trees and pixelated
mushrooms set on a Sage Derby cheese to represent a green hill side.
The Dominos Pizza worker then has to navigate over jumps and obstacles his
first being a block of pixelated Cheddar cheese which he jumps successfully and
lands safely and continues to run away all the while the Holy Pizza is hot on his
heels chasing him down the Swiss Cheese path. The Holy Pizzza ends up rolling
of the Cheddar Cheese block and destroying it into little pixelated pieces of dust.
The next obstacle for the Dominos Pizza worker is a hallowed out pixelated
mushroom tree which he runs straight through and again the Holy Pizza
demolishes the pixelated mushroom tree with ease.
The final obstacle the Dominos Pizza worker faces is a 2 jump escape with a
twist, these jumps have between them, a deadly hot bubbling cheese sauce that
burns anything that touches it to a crisp no matter how much protection it has.
First the Dominos Pizza worker jumps onto a small pixelated pepperoni boulder
and notices the hot cheese sauce. He hesitates but then remembers the Holy
Pizza is chasing him and is only seconds away from flattening him like a pancake.
So he decides to risk it and leaps to the middle pepperoni boulder, he makes the
jump and with a gasp closes his eyes and sighs with relief but then hears the
Holy Pizza smash through the first pixelated pepperoni block.
Hearing this he decides it is now or never to make the jumps. He leaps, arms
stretched out forwards towards the final pepperoni boulder but he misses be a
miniscule and plummets into the hot bubbling cheese sauce. All he is able to
scream with the last of the air in his lungs is NOOOOO! as he vanishes into the
perilous cheese sauce.
The last thing we see is the Holy Pizza demolitions through the last pixelated
pepperoni boulder and lands with a splash in the cheese sauce and sinks.
The screen fades to black and then a giant pixelated sign appears saying GAME
OVER then the logos of Dominos Pizza and Bandi Namco Entertainment blast
onto the screen and then a voice says In association with Dominos Pizza and
Bandi Namco Entertainment.

Why I chose this?

I chose to do Pizza Panic because its my favourite idea and incorporates all the
required criteria and has loads of different elements; a pixelated Dominos
worker, a giant pixelated pizza constantly chasing the Dominos worker,
mushroom trees etc.
I think this will work for both Bandi Namco Entertainment and Dominos Pizza as
the colours I have chosen to use have been popular in many of the games
produced by Bandi Namco Entertainment and also with Dominos, because their
uniforms are bright and eye catching and when people think of pizza they think
of the affiliated with it are Orange, Yellow and Red.
Making and Animating
I have decided to go with a retro graphic style of graphics like that you would see
if you were playing Super Mario bros. nearly all of the in-game elements are
pixelated; the Dominos worker, Mushroom trees, Pepperoni clouds, the giant
Pizza, the Cheese block, the hallowed out Mushroom and the Pepperoni boulders.
To create this animation I am going to use the green screen to create the outline
of all the elements that are not part of the background and making sure when I
have the Dominos worker running that he stays along a straight line doing a 2frame running stance. When it comes to have him jumping I will use a 1-frame
jumping stance where the left leg is fully stretched out with a slight bend and the
right leg is behind with a slight bend in it as well. Making the hot cheese sauce I
will use yellow tissue paper so that it looks like hot melted cheese and have
some small flakes rising out of the sauce to indicate it is bubbling hot.
I will use plastercine to create the giant pizza, the Dominos worker, the yellow
cheese block, the hallowed out mushroom and the pepperoni boulders.
Target Audience
My target audience are young people aged 8-18 adults aged 18+. As young
people can relate to games as they are a big part of the media industry today
and most young children as well as adults enjoy pizza. With the adults they will
probably recognise the old style gaming graphics as the ones used in Super
Mario bros and Galaga. This will hopefully appeal to their childhood side and grab
their attention. Also using retro game sounds might entice adults to hear those
sounds and make them think back to when they used to play games a child.
Legal and Ethical
I will be using both the Dominos and the Bandi Namco Entertainment logos and
they all are trademarked and belong to their owners. The link below contains
sounds that I will be using in my Pizza Panic animation. All rights go to
