Pirates Football League 2015

Please find mentioned here some rules that we have arrived at, after a detailed discussion, followed by
voting. The members of the organizing team and the managers of PFL-2015 may be contacted for a
detailed description of any of the points mentioned below, in case any discrepancy arises.
If any dispute arises, the decision of the Overall Coordinator, PFL 2015 is final and binding on the
disputing parties.
Points for winning: 3
Points for a draw: 1 to each team
Points for a loss: 0
Rules:
*Please note: Normal rules and regulations of the game is applicable as always. The ones mentioned
below are the special ones which have been modified from the normal rules of the game.
1. The format of the game is (5+1) players per side on the field at any point of time. Goalkeeper is a
permanent one.
Duration:
15 mins a half (in league stage)
20 mins a half (in knock-out stage)
2. Substitution:

Every team has to make atleast 2 substitutions in the entire duration of the play
(excluding extra time). The substituted player has to stay on field for a minimum
of 5 minutes, for his substitution to be deemed valid. There may be more than 2
substitutions, but rolling substitution is NOT allowed.
Penalty: In case the above criteria is not followed, then,

In the league stage: Deduction of 1 point from the teams match earnings from that game.
Which means, a winning team gets 2 points, for a draw 0 points and for a loss (-1) points
In the knock-out stage: 1 goal penalty from the defaulting team.
For instance, if the defaulting team wins 2-1, then it will be deemed 1-1, and it will proceed to
shoot-outs/extra time, as the case may be.
If the defaulting team ties the game (say 1-1, 2-2, etc.) before the extra time, then the game
would be awarded to the other team, and the match wont proceed to extra time.

3. There will be kick-ins for a ball shot out of field (instead of throw-ins). In this case, one kick goals are
not valid (IT is NOT a free-kick!)
4. Offside:

There is NO offside in the matches. There are no restrictions on the ground from
where field-goals may be scored.
Refreshments, in the form of Glucon-D (1 packet) will be provided to both the teams before the start of
the match. Water bottles, jugs, etc. are a responsibility of the handling managers.
Referees / match officials will be chosen from a pool of available and neutral individuals. The decision of
selection lies with the organizing team.
Postponement / Cancelling of matches are strictly not tolerable.
