Dear Shelly Truxall:
I am interested in the Lead Teacher position at Head Start. I have field and work experience with
young children. I would like to develop my teaching skills while creating a challenging and fun
environment for young children. The preschool age is particularly appealing to me because
young children are honest and there is no limit to their imagination. I would excel with working
with this age group because I have experience working with young children with special needs.
In my teaching experience I have worked in Inclusive classrooms. Also I have worked with
preschool, kindergarten, and K-3 teachers. Where I have been a lead, assistant, and special
education assistant. I helped the teachers to develop curriculum that meet the needs of the
children I served. I am excited about this teaching position because it would allow me to bring
my experience to life and provide the children and families the resources that they need to
become productive citizens.
In addition I am very creative, I believe it is important to include the family in every aspect of
the childs learning. My goal for my classroom is to create a school family and bring the
community to the children.
