Checking the Integrity of the UMTS

FMA Compressed Package

Perform the following steps to check the integrity of the UMTS_FMA
compressed package.
Step 1 Log in to http://support.huawei.com/support/ by Huawei engineer ID and
choose Software Center > Version Software > Wireless Product Line >
SingleRAN > SRAN O&M tools to download the following compressed
packages to a local PC:

UMTS FMA compressed package: UMTS_FMA_ENG_V3.8.0.rar

UMTS FMA Hash value compressed package: UMTS_FMA

_ENG_V3.8.0 Hash List.rar

Decompress and open the UMTS_FMA_ ENG_V3.8.0 Hash List.mht file in

the downloaded UMTS_FMA_ ENG_ V3.8.0 Hash List.rar to obtain the
Hash value of the UMTS_FMA compressed package, as shown in the SHA256 column of Figure 1.1.

Step 2 Visit http://support.huawei.com/support/ and choose Software Center >

Version Software > Wireless Product Line > SingleRAN > SRAN O&M
tools to download hashmyfiles-1.8.5.rar for calculating the Hash value.
Step 3 Decompress hashmyfiles-1.8.5.rar, and then run HashMyFiles.exe. Choose
File > Add Files, as shown in Figure 1.1. In the displayed dialog box, select
the UMTS_FMA compressed package that has been downloaded. The Hash
value is displayed in the SHA-256 column, as shown in Figure 1.2.

calculated by the HashMyFiles tool

Step 4 Compare the Hash value obtained in step 1 and the Hash value calculated in
step 3.
If the two values are the consistent, the UMTS_FMA_ ENG_V3.8.0
compressed package is complete. In this case, proceed with subsequent steps.
If the two values are inconsistent, the UMTS_FMA compressed package is
incomplete. In this case, contact Huawei for technical support.
