Dear Parents

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to introduce myself, some of you may
have noticed me in the classroom already. I have been at Stella Maris for
3 weeks and will continue here for another 7 weeks in Mr Hegartys 5/4
class whilst I complete the final part of my teaching transition into Primary
Education with Charles Darwin University. I have previously taught in the
UK for 13 years, relocating to Adelaide in 2012.
Secondly, during the next 7 weeks your child will be producing a variety of
work and from time to time I would like to use this opportunity to collect
evidence for my teaching portfolio. The use of photographs may be
required. This evidence will only be viewed by the university and teachers
at Stella Maris and I will ensure that such evidence will remain anonymous
by means of back shots and removing any identifying features in order to
protect the identity of the children.
Finally, I would like to obtain your consent before including your child in
any evidence and would be grateful if you would complete the attached
consent form as soon as possible. If you have any concerns regarding this
request, please do come and have a chat.
