A histogram is also called a
frequency histogram.
A histogram is a graph which
displays the data by using
vertical bars of various heights
to represents frequencies

Construction
While constructing

a
histogram the following
points must be noted

1.Variables is measured on
the x-axes and the class
intervals are shown on it.
2.Frequencies
are
measured on the y-axis.

Both the axes must be


clearly labelled and the scale
of measurement should be
clearly shown.

We construct rectangles on
all class intervals in such a
way that the area of each
rectangle is proportional to
the
frequency
in
the
corresponding
class
