Overview of Wireless LAN Deployment:

The internet connection provided by Internet service provider will be connected to Mikrotik router. We
can multiple links to that router for redundancy too. From the router a switch will be connected and all
the wireless access points will be connected to that switch. We plan to deploy two switches to connect
all the access points. We will configure basic firewall configuration in the Mikrotik router to secure the
wireless network. We can also configure hotspot in the wireless to easily manage the users in the
apartment.

The devices we need for the implementing the wireless lan in the apartment are following:
a. TPLink Access Point
We plan to install two access point in every floor. This will guarantee that
there will be wireless coverage in every room and the corridor. We will configure one high
power Access point in the garden area.
b. Mikrotik Router:
The internet connection provided by the internet service provider will be
connected to the the mikrotik router. Hotspot will radius authentication can be configured in
this router.
c. Planet Switch:
We may need one 16 port and one 8 port switch to connect all the APs.
