Sexual abuse refers
to any action that pressures or
coerces someone to do something
sexually they dont want to do.

Unwanted touching
Unwanted or violent sexual activity
Rape or attempted rape
Touching body parts without their
permission;it is also rape
Sexual commends
Even family members have any right
to touch you without permission.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The term used to describe this exploding problem of


violence within our homes is Domestic Violence. It
may in various forms such as physical, sexual or
emotional. One of the reasons for it being so
prevalent is the conventional and foolish mind set of
the society that women are physically and
emotionally weaker than the males. Though women
today have proved themselves in almost every field
of life affirming that they are no less than men, the
reports of violence against them are much larger in
number than against men.

victims of domestic violence.
Physical injury is the most visible form.

another common form.

In ancient India women enjoyed equal status with man in all fields of
life, she received the same education like man. During the medieval
period, the status of women went down . Today her position is equal
to that of men, socially, economically, educationally, politically and
legally.

India was one of the first countries in the world to give women the
right to vote.
The Indian Constitution is one of the most progressive in the world,
and guarantees equal rights for men and women.

women's concerns are still given second priority almost everywhere.


They continue to face discrimination and marginalisation, both
subtle and blatant .
