MERCER COLLEGE TO HOST INDUCTION CEREMONY FOR ATHLETIC HALL OF


FAME
MERCER, NE. (Feb. 10, 2015) Four Mercer College alumni will be inducted into the
colleges Athletic Hall of Fame, Tuesday April 28,2015, based on performance
undergraduate.
The inductees are Allison Dobson, 48, of Clarence, New York; Jeffrey Brown, 62, of
Kalamazoo, Michigan; Colleen Dubay, 50, of Pittsburgh; and Michael Shotter, 59, of
North Andover, Massachusetts. The Mercer College Alumni Club President, Dr.
Marcus Irwin, will be presenting framed certificates at a luncheon ceremony in
Mercer Colleges Field House.
The selection process was very competitive because of the high rate of successful
student athletes that we have here at Mercer College, and I am looking forward to
the ceremony Dr. Irwin said.
Dobson is a 1988 graduate who played on the tennis team and won the NCAA
Division II championship in 1986-87. She is currently an attorney at Dobson and
Dobson Law Firm in Clarence.
Brown is a 1974 graduate who played on the mens hockey team and had a recordbreaking season in 1973-74 with 30 total goals. He is currently a high school math
teacher and athletic director at Kalamazoo High School.
Dubay is a 1986 graduate who was on the womens gymnastics team and is the
overall womens champion of the NCAA Division II in 1986.
Shotter is a 1977 graduate who still holds the NCAA Division II mens 200 individual
medley record in the NCAA swimming and diving championships. He is currently a
senior broker with North Andover Realty.
