Introduction
This workshop is designed to increase your knowledge and practice of soft
skills instruction. We will explore soft skills more in depth and select
methods that are most appropriate for your students and classrooms.
Workshop Goal: Within a self-selected class teachers will effectively and
regularly teach soft skills to students.
Length: 3.15 hour session, 5:45pm-9:00pm

Objectives
Instructors will be able to
explain the importance of soft skills.
discuss and classify barriers in order to overcome them.
explain the importance of building relationships with community
agencies in order to provide soft skills learning opportunities for
students
determine the soft skills you feel most confident implementing in their
instruction.
identify the most appropriate method for integrating soft skills into
your instruction
demonstrate modeling of soft skills
