Lesson plan Topic

My toys
Age of students: 5 - 7 years
Number of students: 6
Duration: 50 minutes
Task: The children will make their own room full of toys and find out what do the
others have in their rooms
Objectives and goals: Learning the phrases I have got and She/He has got,
students will make a project about their room and toys, learning new words
connected with toys, revising numbers
Prior knowledge of the students and context: The students are already
familiar with the vocabulary (toys) from previous lesson.
Revision/Introduction to the topic (10 minutes)

Sitting in a circle
Showing the learners little cards with 5 different types of toys doll, teddy
bear, balloons, car and lego (they know the pictures from previous lesson)
Asking them Is this a doll? NO! Is this a car? YES etc(Revising their
knowledge)
Game: Putting the cards in the middle of the circle one by one. Who is the
first one to say what is on the picture gets the card (there are 10 of each)

Direct Instruction/Project introduction (20 minutes)

Each of the learners gets his or her blank room on the paper, they get to
colour it in and stick the cards they got wherever they want to place their
toys (they can exchange the cards among each other)
I have prepared my room full of toys as well and aster the learners are
finished with their projects, Ill tell them what I HAVE IN MY ROOM (Such
as three dolls, two teddy bears)

Guided Practice (15 minutes)

Asking the children What have you got in your room? Helping them with
the answer such as I have three cars
Asking the children to exchange their rooms and tell the others what does
he or she have got in his or her room (The teacher goes first so they know,
they should say ex. He haS

Closure (5 minutes)
Has/Have got game each student choses a card (there are pictures of familiar
vocabulary on the cards). One of the learners sits in the middle of the circle and
the others try to guess, what has he or she have .
Pattern:
She has a flower!
NO!
She has a doll!
NO!
She has a car!
YES, I have a car!

Cards for the rooms (10 of each word)


Bedroom drawings
Glue stick
Colour pencils
Cards with pictures of familiar words

Assessment and Follow-Up


Playing the have/has got game with cards of all the vocabulary the children know
so far (most of the nouns they know), the following lesson I would use my song
lesson plan about things in the house.
