Opportunities
There are many ministry opportunities for athletes.
(Bible studies and FCA). NGU holds a service every
Thursday at 7:00 p.m. called BSU (Baptist Student Union). They have impact teams who visit churches and
assist in mission projects. BSU also has a worship team
that leads worship every week and a bluegrass band
that you can be a part of.

Christian Emphasis
At North Greenville University, there is a Christian
emphasis in academics. All the faculty and staff
members are committed Christians who take the
integration of faith and learning very seriously. NGU
believes that all truth is ultimately from God. They
strive to be a place where graduates will leave with
both an understanding of their chosen fields and appreciation of Gods Word.

Campus Ministries
North Greenville gives you many opportunities to be
involved with different organization that help you
grow in faith with each other.

Leading/attending Bible studies and prayer

same sex who meet weekly to discuss Scripture
and pray for those who dont know Christ.

Members are selected by their testimony, personal walk
with Christ, and their music ability. There is a significant
amount of scholarships given out for this group.
L.I.G.H.T. Teams are mobilized and trained through
the Center of Cross-Cultural Engagement and Global
Leadership to effectively minister among three strategic
people groups:

Latin American peoples

South Asian peoples

North African/Middle Eastern peoples

Education Department
The purpose of the Teacher Education Program at
North Greenville University is to develop teacher
candidates who possess the knowledge and skills
that will prepare them to become a teacher.
Currently, the College of Education offers
certification in:

Early Childhood Education (PK-3)

Elementary Education (2-6)

English Language Arts Education (9-12)

Music Education (PK-12)

Math Education (9-12)

Social Studies Education (9-12)

Field Experiences/Student
Teaching
Students are required by South Carolina to spend at
least 100 hours of observation/teaching in the
schools prior to Student Teaching.
The semester prior to student teaching, students
must complete with a passing score the South Carolina required examinations (Praxis II series).
