b. Students will lists the three types of biodiversity on their worksheet with 90% accuracy
c. Students will define at least 5 of the vocabulary words on their worksheet with 99%
accuracy.
d. Students will list at least 3 importance of biodiversity with 100% accuracy.

1. Anticipatory Set
Introduction video
Ask students to brainstorm using a KWL chart on what they know and will want to know
about biodiversity
After 5minutes, each child will read what he/she has and the teacher writes it on the board
The teacher goes through their responses correcting misconceptions
Teacher states the objective of the lesson: today we will study biodiversity
2. Developmental Activities
The teacher distributes worksheets to each student
Define biodiversity while the students write down the definition on their worksheet.
Use the information from the KWL chart to bring out some aspects of biodiversity
Students copy notes on their worksheet
Introduces and explain the three types of biodiversity, what it is and its characteristics
with the aid of a PowerPoint while students take down notes on their worksheet
Ask questions to check understanding of what biodiversity is and the different types of
biodiversity
Short clip to show three types of biodiversity and their importance
Ask student if they could give some importance of biodiversity given the knowledge they
have on what biodiversity is and the different types.
Write the respond of the student on the board
Explain the importance of diversity with a PowerPoint, while students take notes on their
worksheet.
List and explain the factors that affect biodiversity.
3. Lesson closure
The teacher will ask students to define biodiversity
The teacher will ask students to list the 3 types of biodiversity
The teacher will ask students to list 3 importance of biodiversity
The teacher will ask the student to define 3 of the vocabulary words.
