I am pleased to present my resume for your consideration as an educator for your School
District. I am currently a senior at Houston Baptist University and will graduate in December of
2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Upon graduation, I will be certified in
Texas for EC-6 general education and have a certification to teach EC-12 special education.
I am currently completing my student teaching in Conroe ISD at Broadway Elementary School
where I have been placed in both a K-4 life skills and a 3rd grade general education classroom. I
am constantly inspired by the enthusiasm and happiness I see in my students on a daily basis. In
addition to the attitudes of the students, the effort and determination of the faculty is something
that I aspire to emulate in my work as a full time employee.
Additional experience that I feel has prepared me for employment with a school such as yours is
my experience as Lead Teacher for the YMCA of Central Ohios before & after school program
at Tyler Run Elementary. During this experience, I was able to manage a group of 36 elementary
students with the help of an Assistant Teacher. I implemented my own behavior management
plan and was responsible for planning and implementing daily program activities. This
experience gave me valuable insight about what it takes to manage a classroom of students and
interact with their parents on a regular basis.
