Record for Pre-Assessment:



Five out twenty-students could tell me what a text feature was and could point out
the text features. 15out of twenty-four students could make a prediction using the
text features. 12 out of 24 students could revise their predictions. The students used
graphic organizers aligned by the Virginia Learning Standards.


Below is an example of how the graphic organizer was given to the students to pick
out a text feature, make a prediction, and revise a prediction. This was a complex
task for the students to accomplish. This graphic organizer is aligned with the SOL
5.6.
