    Connect your computer to a SmartBoard and turn it on. Open and minimize the video you want to play. Select the option to extend your desktop so the video will appear on the SmartBoard while you continue working on your computer screen.     How to Use Your Extended Desktop to Show a Video

    While Still Working on Your Computer


    1. Connect your computer to the SmartBoard and turn it on.
    2. Open the video you wish to play and minimize it.
    3. On your start menu there is an option to Connect to a Projector, select it. If
    you dont have this option, click on Fn (bottom left of keyboard) + F8.

    4. The following window will open. Select Extend.

    5. This will give you basically another screen space to the right side of your
    computer screen. You will not see it on your computer, but it will display on
    the SmartBoard. Open your video and drag it to the right. You should see it
    move off your screen and onto the SmartBoard.
