Jason is a 4 year, 2 month old who speaks in mostly one-word phrases.
When he does speak he is very difficult to understand. His mother can
usually understand him, but his father and other family members
cannot.
Typically developing four-year-olds can speak in sentences of 4-6
words, tell about past experiences, and talk clear enough for a stranger
to understand.
