Bituminous Concrete

Bituminous Concrete to be of grade 0 6 with 5.7% +.2% bitumen

The bituminous concrete grade 0 6 shall be transported from asphalt

plant to the site of work (within Township of Curepipe) in trucks having
clean, tight smooth bodies which shall be treated to prevent adhesion of the
mixture. Soapy water or lubricating oil may be used for coating the
bodies, gasoline, kerosene or other solvent shall not be used for this
purpose. The bodies of the truck shall if required by the Engineer be
covered and insulated to maintain the heat loss within the requirements.

Updated Certificate from Ministry of Business, Enterprise, Cooperatives

and Consumer Protection to be submitted in regards to the calibration of
the weighbridge to be used for weighing the aggregates.

4.

Undertaking by bidder to issue machine printed delivery note indicating

quantity supplied and their related particulars.

5.

The bid is for annual supply as and when required by the Council for the
financial year 2015 at the quoted price.

6.

The Bidder must have its own asphaltic plant and documentary evidence
to be submitted with the offer.

7.

The Council reserves the right to request for any test report from
recognized institutions on the material supplied at any time of the duration
of the Contract. All costs to that effect shall be borne by the Supplier. The
test shall comprise of bituminous extraction test and grading test. These
tests to be submitted on a montly basis.

1. To be supplied as and when required upon issue of Purchase order.

2. Bid valid for financial year January 2016 until 30 June 2017.
