Look around the location.

My locations:
1.)Blank wall - to get a white crisp image
and to give my magazine a more
professional look
2.)Forbury Gardens - An exterior location
to get a variety of shots.

Talk to people there, organise

filming permissions.

I can access a blank wall at home so no

filming permission is needed here.
Forgery Gardens is a public park open to the
public so no permission is needed and can
be accessed at all times.

Identify the equipment you need to

use.

For my photoshoot I will need to use a

camera which I have personally, and as I
want to get the most professional look I may
need to set up a few lights which I can use
lamps for this.

Examine and identify any potential

health and safety issues
(e.g. crowd numbers being
controlled, being set up in a sensible
location that does not block access
points or that damages the
environment or frightens livestock,
any road/traffic issues etc)

For my first location I will not need to worry

about crowds of people but one health and
safety issue may be wires left out so I need
to keep the workspace organised and neat.
For the second location as it is a public
place It may be busy so I will have to choose
a place in the park where it is not crowded, it
is also a popular dog walked destination so I
need to be aware of everyone else around.

Check the position of the sun and

lighting conditions.

At home I can use lamps as artificial lighting

and the natural lighting that may come into
the room.
For my second location I need to be aware
that the sun sets earlier and I need to
choose a brighter day as the sun is being
used as my lighting for this shoot.

Look for interesting shots and

camera angles.

I can experiment which interesting shots and

camera angle as the first location is in my
house and the second location is in a large
open park.

Check the electricity supply. (For the For my first location I can use plug sockets
majority of exterior locations you will and have an endless electricity supply.
be using battery power)
My second location is an exterior location so
I will have to charge my camera before hand
so I have enough battery power to last the
day.
Check the nearby car parking/
transport routes

No transport routes in needed for my first

location as it is my home so its easy access.
My second location is also near a train
station so it is accessible for me.

Is the location suitable for

production?

My first location is suitable as it gives a more

professional look and creates and clean
crisp image.
The second location is an park which has a
lot of green land and wild life but it also has
brown fences and brick walls, which gives a
lot of variety to my magazine.
