LEARNINGANDDEVELOPMENTOpinionessay

The fact of expressing feelings, opinions or telling the truth, are vital things that make a life
worthliving. Even though it is one ofthemostdifficultthingsbecausetofeelfromreadinga
text that is not literature is more than complicated, I amgoingtotry toputitintowordshow
did reading the article:
Palacios J. (2004) Psicologa evolutiva: concepto, enfoques,
controversiasymtodosmakemefeel.

It is really difficult to me to keep readingwithoutthinkingaboutthefactsthatarementioned,

and therefore I have to start reading again. It means my interest is not focused in the text,
and the reasons are many. The blame is not all on the text and the way it is written
obviously, but here are some of the impressions and reasons why, even though it is an
extremelyimpressiveandinterestingarticle,itdoesnotattractmyattention.

My first impression at the beginning was that it was going to be an interesting reading.
Sadly, as I began to keep reading my opinion began to fade in a deep pessimistic way.
Articles, books, newspapers and other type of writing, are directed to an exclusive or
determined type of reader romantic books to romantic people, newspaper to people who
want to be informed etc. This article we are talking about contains a lot of facts and
references, which is considered as method to ensurethetruthfulnatureofthestatementsin
thetextauthoritativeargument.

to know which is the conclusion. But most experts do not take into consideration students
that, despite being interested in education and psychologyandallthelinksthatexistamong
them, get bored as soon as an author like Palacios or many others start posting numbers
and titles of interesting yet unread books from an student point of view of course. If the
information that is given in an article is really important and shouldbetakeninto accountby
society, why are they so boringtoreadoraredirectedtoanexclusivepartorsocialgroupof
thepopulation?

Once you take out most of the fillin parts, you can extract information that is relevant for
yourself or that in the future, you surely will apply in your life. When the author is talking
about authors and their theories Erikson,FreudorPiaget...Hownormalpeoplewereableto

history. Wars and catastrophes. Why is that every time a human changes is developed,
mental, emotional, social, etc. it is because some awful event that happenedpreviously?Do
humans only realise or develop incredible thinking or theories when bad things are
happening? It is one of the saddest things in the world. So yes, I felt proud of the historical
thinkers that are (non)mentioned because of the changes they caused in society, but I am
more than disgusted with human beings that caused the catastrophes that caused the
changes.

One of the first things a teacher must know is that, when teaching, you must have the
attention of pupils every time, which is almost impossible. This article does not have my
attention, the contrary, it helps me to driftofffromitasitmentionstoomanydifferentthings,
despitebeingfocusedinEvolutivePsychology.

However, this was my opinion at the beginning and middle of the article. At one point, it
starts analyzing how the environment and heritage characteristics affect the human
development, and therefore, the child. When the knowledge you are reading can be applied
to something you are really interested in,it is then that you start payingattentionandlinking
the information to other information that is in your brain. It is impressive how minuscular
things such as your eyes shape can cause a big difference the butterfly effectispresentin
everyoneslife.

At the end, the author gives us his conclusion of the methodsandhistoricaldevelopmentof

this discipline that belongs to the studies of human development, Evolutive Psychology. A
conclusion that does not actually clarifies manythings, itsaysthatbothmodelscanbeused

According to most guidelines of how to give your opinion, a small paragraph with your final
conclusion must be written, in order to achieve a whole understanding of the words written
previously. Although most of this essaygivesanegativeopinion, mymainorgeneralideaof
the article read is good it was interesting to read. I always think this: my time nowadays
does not have any value, it could be neutral and nothing: so it means that reading a long
article and extracting a small part of knowledge and enjoyment, is an achievement and an
award. That article was written for people interested in Evolutive Psychology, and when at
the beginning some historical references are made, it is in order to givethereaderaclueof
whatitisandhowitwas.
