Art Experience: Frist Friday
I lived in Philadelphia for over 10 years and this was my very first time
attending the Frist Friday. First, I was surprised to find out how old this event
was. It has been continued since 1991. This art event has grown into one of
Philadelphias signature cultural events. I did not even know these kind of
event existed until I took this class. Old City was beautiful and it was
crowded with a lot of people. Overall, the experience was great. I got to see
variety art works and performances. I thought it was neat how Philadelphia
hosts this event each month on first Friday. This allows people to see
diversity of art works, antiques, and theater and performance. I am not an
art person, but through this event, I got more interested in art work. It is
good casual events that can be attended with friends and families. Also,
through this event, I got to see many different local Philadelphia artists
work. Beside the great art works and performances, they are a lot of great
restaurants. Art lover should definitely attend this event. It is a great
entertainment, and it was great to be part of this and to view different types
of arts. I would definitely attend this event again.
