Clear subject, blurry background
Similar to Macro Mode

Macro:

Allows focus on subject at small distance


Used to capture small details

Sports:

Captures fast motion


Automatically picks shutter speed for you (1/250 or more) in amount of
light it senses
Tries to eliminate blurriness that happens

Program:

Automatically picks shutter speed, aperture, etc.


You control ISO, White balance, exposure compensation, and focus
Camera will try to prevent over and under exposure

Manual:

You set all variables (ex: shutter speed, ISO)

TV/ Shutter Priority:

Everything is auto except you control shutter speed


Camera aims for good exposure
Used for showing blurred motion
Showed in fraction: 1/100

Av/Aperture Priority:

All auto except you control Aperture


Use when depth of field is important

Variables/Screen settings
Shutter Speed: How long the camera lets light into the camera
Aperture: The amount of light that is let into the lens
Exposure: A way of controlling the brightness or darkness of the photo
Under Exposed- not enough light
Over Exposed- Too much light
Correctly Exposed- enough light and darkness

ISO: How much light hits your sensor and is showed with hundreds
Zoom: adjust the barrel to zoom in and out
Focus: Creating clarity in the picture. Two types- manual and auto focus

Picture taking:

Rules of Thirds: Putting place of interest on intersecting points, on


horizon or vertical lines when you use the grid

Use diferent angles
