Sounder2 Mekhi
Sounder
This is the main character Sounder. He is
hunting dog, very brave, is caring and gets
spoil when he louses his ear and always try
to help. I see that when The boys mother
starts feeding him. Get the pan child..
Feed your dog said The Boys mother
[ page 73] I like this dog because he is
helpful
The Boy
This is another main character. The Boy is very smart, very caring, and brave. I see that
when he goes looking for Sounder. I have to go out somewhere [page 39] I like this
character because he is very smart.
Setting
The main setting of Sounder was at
the log cabin and on the road. The
cabin is where The boy look under the
house for sounder. He also lived there.
It is where most of the story takes
place. The street is where the father
got taken away.
Summary
The begging of story was eclent in my opinion . The problem was Sounder being lost. In
the 1st chapter the story was telling about Sounder. 2nd chapter the Boys Father got taken to
jail for stealing. There are to things I can smell Ones a ham cooking and a thieving black
man [page 21]
The middle of story was okay in my opinion. In the 3rd chapter The Boy looked under the
house for Sounder although he did not find Sounder and the mother left the house to get
food. The 4th chapter It has pass to Christmas and The Boy was able to see his father and the
boy was able to give his father a cake his mother had made for The Boys father althogh it got
smushed and the boy talked to his father. In the 5th chapter the boy was told that Sounder
didnt die under the cabin and that he probaly went to the woods to get healed and also they
found Sounder.
The end was very depresing. In the 6th chapter the boys mother tells the story of Joseph
and the boy searches for his father. In the 7th Sounder was far down the road and the boys
father got transferred because there was dynamite exploson and Sounder got killed and the
boys father got killed. In the 8th chapter they digged a grave for the father and Sounder
