Foster a classroom environment which promotes learning and student success as well as develop
and implement lesson plans across the 5th grade curriculum. Teach and observe math, reading,
writing, science, social studies and every day activities in a classroom of 30 students. Other duties

Responsible for whole class, small group and individualized instruction

EDUCATIONAL
LEADERSHIP

Presenter at the Marquette-Alger Young Authors Conference May 2015 and 2014
Planned and facilitated a week long workshop for over 300 students from the community, allowing
the young authors the opportunity to create and learn. Each year, a childrens book author is
present at the conference and the workshops were based off one of the authors books. In these
particular workshops the students listened to a read aloud of the authors book and used the
information or story to create a piece of artwork.
