Describes 3D Technology
3D printing is the process of making three dimensional
solid objects from a digital file. The 3D printer uses a
extrusion process in order to create plastic and flexible
objects. Some objects that a 3D printer can create are
houses, food and cars.

3D Technology & Challenges

3D printing is time consuming

3D Printing is here!!
-The numbers of 3D printers sold is smaller than the
numbers of 2D printers sold. In Oct 2013 Gartner predicted
160 3D printers sold per day, presenting sales of only $87
million.
-These devices are really targeted towards highly
motivated makers. Require a lot of skill, patience and
determination to use.
-Price: Machines available at less than $2,000, but
widespread adoption of consumer technology prices below
$1,000
