From many different socioeconomic backgrounds
Our class is mostly comprised of visual cognitive learners
They are mainly of logical intelligences
No ESL students
No special needs students in this class

Step 2: Articulate Objectives and

Standards
Objective: GEOM1. intuitive understanding of points, lines, and
planes; collinear and coplanar; concept of intersection
Objective: GEOM2. notation for points, lines, and planes: points
(capital roman, A); lines (lowercase script ` , or AB); planes
(uppercase script P , or three noncollinear points ABC
Objective: GEOM3. space (the collection of all points); geometric
figure (a subset of space)

Step 3: Identify Teaching and

Learning Strategies
Teaching Strategies: Strategies that will address our students learning and
cognitive styles.
PowerPoint including pictures that depict a step by step process
Highlighting important words/terms

At the end of all Kahoot quizzes are a few
questions that allow students to rate the
quiz and tell if they learned something
from the activity. We can improve our quiz
from student feedback.

Step 3: Prepare the Lesson

Prepare the classroom: The warm up will help prepare the classroom for the day and help them to focus on the
Geometry (the days topic)
Summarize daily plan:
Provide a Pre Organizer: To let students know what they are responsible for learning we will display the learning
objectives on the second slide of the PowerPoint before beginning their notes.
Use Motivators: Kahoot quizzes are fun and competitive which makes students more motivated to pay attention
and focus.
Build Bridges to Prior Knowledge: The warm up questions will evoke reflection on prior knowledge which will be
used in the lesson.
Share Objectives: The objectives and standards will be in the PowerPoint, and we would tell the class what they
are.
Introduce New Knowledge: The main content of PowerPoint.
Reinforce Knowledge: Examples will be in presentation/notes.
Provide Practice Experiences: The worksheets will give students practice.
Culminating Review: The Kahoot quiz will help students review.
