My Most Colorful Relative
Having such a large family tree, I was bound to have some characters in there somewhere
and characters do I have. The main character that I have the most information is my Great Aunt
Kathleen. Shes my mothers aunt and my late grandmothers sister.
She has been interesting for as long as I can remember. When I was a young child, she
had me and my sister create an underwater Claymation movie with mermaids and fish. She was
also a ridiculous fan of the Harry Potter Series, as was I. We spent several hours in my early
childhood reading, watching, and discussing Harry Potter. We played Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit
and Harry Potter video games. Harry Potter was the main thing that we had in common, so we
embraced it.
From there it gets a bit strange. According to my mother, she claimed to be the queen of
France. She swore up and down that she was French Royalty. She also claims to be full-blood
Irish when she isnt and only lived there for a few years. Lately she hasnt been getting along
with my Mother. My aunt thinks that if my mother yells, that she has anger issues; if shes quiet,
shes depressed; if she has a glass of wine then shes an alcoholic. She also tried to help with our
yardwork once and used so much weed-killer that she killed a large area of our lawn and it made
my mother extremely mad. Shes no longer welcome at our house.

Aside from that, shes been a huge supporter of me getting my engineering degree. Shes
hoping that in the future that I get a position at Scuderia Ferrari as a motorsports engineer. In
fact, she supports me so much, that I inspired her to go back to college as a part time student and
get her bachelors degree.
My Aunt Kathleen is definitely one of the most colorful characters in my family tree,
whether that be good or bad, nobody quite knows.
