GradeCam

This is a free and incredible-easy-to-use video platform that helps

teachers save time, boost classroom engagement and improve student
learning through video lessons. EDpuzzle also collects data as students
watch and interact with the video. Take a video from Youtube, Khan
Academy or TeacherTube and crop it to use only what you need for your
lesson, record your voice on top to explain, add clarifications, or add a
video introduction. Embed quiz questions along the way, to check for
student understanding, track who watched the video, prevent skipping,
and see quiz results through the simple to read student reports. Allow
your students to create their own video lessons, to create a deeper
learning experience. Students can view the videos on the website, or the
app, or you can can embed the lesson on your website.

Padlet is the easiest way to create and collaborate in the

world. It works like a sheet of paper where you can put
anything (images, videos, documents, text) anywhere,
from any device (pcs, tablets, phones), together with
anyone. Padlet already has over 5 million walls used for
everything from teaching, brainstorming, note-taking,
website publishing, bookmarking, selling goods, and
blogging.

Scenario
You observe a social studies teacher who is presenting a
lesson on the outcomes of World War II. The posted
objective reads: Identify results of WW2. The class
consists of three activities:
1. A warm-up journal question:
What are the results of
WW2? (The teacher then selects 3 students to share
responses w/whole group)
2. A lecture w/powerpoint on the results of WW2 (Students
take Cornell notes as the teacher presents. A few
students raise their hands to ask questions throughout.)
3. An exit slip: List 3 major results of WW2 (Students
record responses on post-it and place on Parking Lot when
leaving room)

Task:
Use the provided rubric to score the lesson for 3b, 3c, and
3d. Make (at least) one suggestion for incorporating a
formative assessment tool into the lesson. Share your
response in Todays Meet---https://todaysmeet.com/WCPSAdmin
