Nurse Recruiter

To whom it may concern,

Jessica Rosenow has asked that I submit a letter of recommendation to you on her behalf. As her Clinical
Professor, I have had the unique position of working with her during her last semester in nursing at The
University of Arizona College of Nursing.
I supervised Jessica during the leadership/management course and during her Clinical Preceptorship at
Banner -University of Arizona Medical Center, Tucson, University Campus, a level I Trauma Center and
Magnet hospital. As part of her clinical Preceptorship experience, Jessica moved between the Labor and
Delivery unit and the Neonatal ICU. The Labor and Delivery unit is a high-risk tertiary care center which
focuses on a family centered maternity experience. Ms. Rosenow also spent almost half of the
preceptorship on the 36 bed NICU unit where she cared for premature infants, those with heart defects
and surgical problems. Jessica completed 186 hours in the Preceptorship experience working three - 12
hour shifts a week on the day shift with one RN Preceptor.
As a senior nursing student, Jessica demonstrated excellent performance in the basic nursing roles during
this period. By the end of the preceptorship she was able to assume a full RN patient load for the
specialties with supervision from her preceptor. The preceptorship experience included; providing direct
patient care, nursing assessments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient/family teaching, medication
administration, and basic nursing responsibilities.
Ms. Rosenow developed a positive rapport with her healthcare team and demonstrated strong leadership
abilities. Although her supervision and delegation skills are at the entry level, she has excellent
interpersonal skills with patients and staff, and helped to create a positive work environment.
Ms. Rosenow demonstrated strong organization, prioritization and communication skills. She is
professional, self-directed, makes sound decisions, has exceptional interpersonal skills, and interacts well
with patients, family and other health care providers. I highly recommend Jessica Rosenow for a new
graduate RN position.
Sincerely,

Roxanne A. Moutafis MS, RN, BC
