To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Angela for the past two school years,
teaching 5 year olds at the Canadian International School, which is an IB school. I have
been the lead teacher for the Senior Kindergarten year for the past 3 years, and have
taught in Singapore and Australia for 16 years.
Angela has worked closely and collaboratively with the team of nine classroom
teachers, ten teaching assistants as well as the specialists, to provide a challenging,
comprehensive and age appropriate inquiry based curriculum for the children in her
class. She was chosen by her peers to lead a group of 4 other teachers through several
units of inquiry, helping to keep the classes cohesive, ordering resources and purchasing
appropriate aids to assist in these units as well as scoping Singapore for places that could
be visited to enhance the childrens learning.
Another project that Angela took upon herself after seeing a need, to start a shared
guided reading program in our year level. This required Angela to source books, order
them, and then organize it all in a user friendly way. Angela has sorted the books into
levels and has made the program cross referenced to many different reading schemes.
This work has been appreciated by all members of the team.
Angela has also run workshops within the school, sharing her expertise in literacy,
especially her experiences of Writers Workshops, which has been adopted by many
teachers in the school.
When walking into Angelas classroom you see all the children engaged, and happy due
to the environment Angela has set up for optimal inquiry and learning. The children
relate well to her as do the parents with whom she is in constant communication.
Angela has been a very active member of the social committee, organizing such events
as the end of year celebrations that span our 4 campuses. She is extremely organized
and works hard to ensure all tasks and jobs are completed within the time frame given.
Angela is a well respected member of staff and I would not hesitate recommending her
