Reflection 3:
Ive noticed from this observation that learners are not the same when
it comes to absorbing information so the teacher must have different
ways to explain the lesson according to the difficulty or the ease of the
lesson. That way she will make sure of the students understanding the
lesson. Though the most important thing for learners that they help
themselves to get better (for lower level achievers) by helping their
teacher and cooperating with her. An addition to that the teacher must
understand that her students wont be ever the same; some will be
excellent, some will be weak, and some will be good. Also, she must
identify what each group of those need, so she transfer the information
in an appropriate way. Identifying whether the learner is weak, good, or
excellent is easy. The teacher can know that only by a diagnostic test
at the beginning of the year, observe their reactions to the lesson that
theyre getting, and asking question after each lesson. I was very
surprised to know that learners can be very different with a lot of
things, even though they are in the same age, but the levels and
abilities are very different. But when I tried to relate child development
studies with my observation in this task. I thought that it is logical
because children grow up differently, and each one of them has her
personality. It depends on the students interests some like to touch
things; some like to see, some like to apply and create their version..,
etc. And thats why teachers must use things that help students
understand the lesson by applying what they like to what theyre
learning.
