orange juice and lemon juice.

Does Gatorade and PowerAde contain more electrolytes then orange

juice and lemon juice
Problem: Does Gatorade or PowerAde contains more electrolyte than
regular juices like orange juice and lemon juice.
I did this science fair experiment because I always see those Gatorade
commercials saying Gatorade replenishes energy better than
everything else and I want to put that to the test.
My hypothesis is that the Gatorade will contain the most electrolytes.
procedure
Connect the two copper wires to a straw
The connect the two copper wires to the alligator clips.
Connect the other alligator clips to the multimeter
Drop the straw in the four ounces of liquid ( lemon or orange juice,
PowerAde or Gatorade)
Write down results
I will measure each drink 20 times.

Hypothesis
If I measure the conductance of the liquid,
then the Gatorade will have the highest level
of conductance because it is advertised as
having high electrolyte levels.

Connect the two copper wires to a straw

Connect one copper wire to the 9 volt battery
The other copper wire to one of the alligator clip.
Connect the other alligator clip to the multimeter
Then connect the 9 volt battery to the multimeter
Drop the straw in the four ounces of liquid ( lemon
or orange juice, PowerAde or Gatorade)
Write down results
I will measure each drink 20 times

Average Micro Volts

Conclusion
The lemon juice had the highest
conductivity of the five drinks. The control
the water had the least current with a
average of 54 Micro volts. The amount of
current was measured in Micro volts for the
most precise measurements. The data does
not support my hypothesis.
