What similarities and differences do you notice in the verbal and visual
information included?

Similarities
o They both have the same format. Every subject is the same
o Both are trying to convince people the benefits of using better care
when it comes to washing hands.
o Both are written by the cdc
o Both include children in the writing.
o They both have the same statistical data
Differences
o There are very few differences. The pictures are of adults instead of
children.
o The pictures of the employee pamphlet show people in a work
environment.

How do the writers adapt information to each audience?

They do very little to change the information in the pamphlets. The writing is
almost identical on both. They use the exact same statistical data on both.
The only thing they really change is the pictures which from kids washing
hands to people in the work place washing hands.

What changes, if any, would make the documents more suitable for their
specific audience?

I think they both do a great job of explaining why people need to wash their
hands. The only thing I would say they should do is try and give instructions
for employees. They should know how but in the event that they dont they
should have a step by step process.
