Dear Family or Friend,

As a member of Phi Mu, one of our main goals is to raise money for Childrens Miracle
Network. Childrens Miracle Networks mission is to increase funds and raise awareness for
local childrens hospitals. 62 children enter a Childrens Miracle Network Hospital for treatment
every minute that's one child every second. Regardless of why the kids are there, Childrens
Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open for kids in need. Our local Childrens
Miracle Network Hospital is KU Medical Center.

Meet Joe: Joe is currently battling cystic fibrosis and is a patient at KU

Medical Center. Joe has to take about 50 pills a day and has had to deal with
multiple sinus surgeries and various treatments to combat the increasing
severity of his condition. With the help of Childrens Miracle Network, Joe
now only has to come in every 6 months for IV treatments.

Last year, Phi Mu introduced a new philanthropy event called Northwest Dance Marathon and
brought it to the Northwest campus in hopes of raising money for Childrens Miracle Network.
This year, we are in the process of transitioning it from a Phi Mu event to a Northwest event,
meaning all organizations would help raise money for the hospitals. Since Northwest Dance
Marathon is a new organization on campus, we do not yet have money to fund the event.
Weve asked each member of Phi Mu to reach out to family or friends. Our goal is to reach
$10,000 by the end of the dance marathon so we need your help! If each person donated $100 a
year, we would be able to reach our goal. Thats only $8.33 a month! Participants will receive a
free t-shirt, recognition at the event, and a Miracle lapel pin to show others that theyve
supported the cause. Visit http://give.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/ to donate today!
With your donation, kids all across the country would be able to see another day and lead a
happier and healthier life. Your contribution to this event could affect the lives of so many and
would help raise awareness for sick kids everywhere. Lets Make Miracles Happen!
