Princess Is Better Than You

Logline: When Princess upsets Claire, Harvey and the twins want to teach
Princess a lesson. But they discover she is more human than they thought.
The kids gather to participate in a Best Kid competition, a decathlon-type event
with a wide range of competitions ranging from pie eating to woodcarving. Harvey
and the twins are excited to compete. Claire feels pressure to win or her mom will
be disappointed.
Unbeknownst to the kids, Dr. Roberts staged this competition solely for Princess.
Princess fails every challenge (and doesnt even participate in some), yet she is
deemed the winner for every event. Princess ungraciously rubs her victory in
everyones faces. Harvey, Fee and Foo notice Princess arrogance is salt in the
wound for Claire.
Fee is particularly motivated to do something about this injustice. She wants the
other kids help in stealing the trophy from Princess to give to Claire. Harvey isnt
sure this is right. Fee says, Im not good at math, but I know two wrongs make a
right, and sways Harvey to her plan.
At Princess house, some of the kids distract Dr. Roberts while Harvey, the twins,
and Claire sneak into Princess room. The room is full of trophies. As they go to
the take the Best Kid one, they notice a bunch of crystals with hair and dresses
like little crystal dolls.
Princess catches them in her room, messing with her crystal dolls. Princess is
enraged and embarrassed. Harvey points to the dolls and asks, What is this?
Her dad wont buy her real dolls because he says crystal ones are better for her
health. They realize Princess is lonely. Dr. Roberts gives her lots of praise, but
she doesnt get normal toys or friends. Claire sympathizes with Princess and
gives her a doll from her backpack, then leaves.
Princess feels a feeling (a rarity for her) and asks Harvey what it is. Harvey

explains that Claire was nice to her. He suggests doing something nice back...
like holding a Best Kid competition rematch so people like Claire have a fair
chance at winning. Princess agrees.
At the rematch, Harvey tells Claire, I think its going to be your day. But then Dr.
Roberts judges each competition in Princess favor again. Harvey is freaking out
because Princess forgot the plan! Shes just as obnoxious as ever! When the
time comes for Claires rematch with Princess, Claire knows she cant win, but
she resolves to try her best. The only thing she has control over is her effort.
Upset at Princess behavior, Harvey, Fee and Foo try to interfere during the
rematch. They treat it like roller derby, blocking Princess, dragging her, etc.
Princess plays rough too. She yells, Im the best! as she knocks the kids out of
her way, determined as ever to win.
Amidst the scuffling, Claires doll drops out of Princess pocket. She picks it up
and remembers Claires kind act. Then Princess makes Dr. Roberts announce
Claire as the winner. Claire is thrilled to have a trophy to show her mom.
Harvey, Fee and Foo congratulate Princess for doing the right thing. Princess
brags and says she let Claire win because she doesnt have room for more dumb
trophies.
