andtheactionsofitspeoplethroughoutthefilm.ThenusingthisknowledgeIwasable
tocomparethedifferencesandsimilaritiesbetweenmyowncultureandaforeignone.
Firstcamethecomprehension,byunderstandingthefilmanditsbasicideasit
madeiteasiertofollowthestoryandthereasonthiserawaschosenforthefilm.Inmy
paperIusemycomprehensionofthefilmthroughtheplotsummaryandseveral
integratedquotesthroughoutusedasevidenceofmythinking.Comprehensionwasan
importantpartofthisassignmentbecauseofthenatureofthefilmsthemselfduetothe
languagebarrierevenunderstandingthefilmsbecomesanissue.Howeverlanguage

theideaofhonorasanimportantvalueofthischinesecultureIwasabletocreatethis
connectionduetothedeeperunderstandingofthecultureitself.thispaperdeepened
myunderstandingofthechinesewayoflivingandhowtheyviewtheirhonorandtheir
familyconnections.Imadeseveralconnectionsbetweenthisanditsdifferencein
America.
